Open Days

Every year for 12 years Ann and John opened up their garden to the public in the first weekend in September to see what had been uncovered during the excavations of the season.

The Annual Open Day started in 1999 as a single day atttracting over 800 visitors. This greatly expanded to cover the whole of the first weekend September with something for everyone of all ages. Over 12,000 visitors have taken part in these weekends, many coming from Greater Manchester but others from further afield in the Midlands, Yorkshire and Cumbria

Unfortunately the Open Weeekends not be held in 2010, but we do hope to provide opportunities to view excavations in progress.
