Highlights of the 2007 Season
Peter Noble took over as our newly appointed Project Officer for the Mellor Heritage Project and was joined by three other members of the University of Manchester Arcaheological Unit: Adam Thompson, who has returned to us regularly for the last few years with colleagues Ruth Garrett and Brian Grimsditch.
Trench 51
Another huge open area was opened up at the east end of the garden (towards the Old Vicarage gate and driveway and next to Trench 18. This area has been kept open since 2003 as it exposed such a wonderful section of Deep Defensive Ditch.
